How to upgrade

Chrome normally updates Store installations automatically, so there is no upgrade button on the extension card. To check for a new release immediately, follow these steps.

  1. 1. Open Extensions. Enter chrome://extensions in Chrome's address bar.
  2. 2. Turn on Developer mode. Use the switch in the upper-right corner.
  3. 3. Select Update. Chrome checks Store extensions for their latest published versions.

Do not remove JobOfferMaster just to upgrade it. Removing the extension can erase the Private Mode key saved in that Chrome profile. Only remove it when you are sure your recovery code is saved and available to unlock your encrypted data again.

Loaded JobOfferMaster from a ZIP instead? Download the latest ZIP in Option 2, replace the files in the existing extension folder, then select Reloadon the existing JobOfferMaster card in chrome://extensions. Go to the ZIP download.

Option 2 · Manual installation

Install from the ZIP file

Download and extract the package, then load its folder in Chrome. Version 3.1.26 uses the same extension identity as the Store release, even when you extract a future package into another folder.

Manual ZIP version 3.1.26 · Read the release notes

Download extension ZIP
  1. 1Download and extract the ZIP. It contains a folder named extension with a manifest.json file inside.
  2. 2Open Chrome extensions. Type chrome://extensions into Chrome’s address bar and press Enter.
  3. 3Turn on Developer mode. Use the switch in the upper-right corner of the Extensions page.
  4. 4Disable the older copy. If an unpacked JobOfferMaster with a different ID is enabled, turn it off without removing it. This preserves its local storage as a fallback.
  5. 5Load the extracted extension. Select Load unpacked, then choose the extension folder that contains manifest.json.
  6. 6Unlock, test, then clean up. Enter your recovery code if asked. After 3.1.26 is working, remove the disabled copy with the different ID.

Choose one installation method. The Store option is recommended for automatic updates; use the ZIP when you intentionally need to test a manual release.
